Taproom & Brewery

The brewmaster’s home hosts a Taproom, where wanderes are welcomed by deliciously brewed craft beers, gift packs, and fan shirts.

Brewery tour, performed by brewmaster Alo himself, reveals some well-kept secrets of brewing, tells the history of craft beer and guarantees a carefully selected variety of beers to taste.

Brewery tour with tasting

Brewery tour takes you to the oldest microbrewery in Estonia. Brewmaster Alo introduces the culture of craft beers, Estonian craft scene and demonstrates how its actually made. Be prepared to have a taste of freshly brewed beer straight from the tap or assist the brewmaster by holding a hundred-year-old mash paddle.

Tour is followed by a diverse tasting, where you can try, for example, spruce shoot ale, ginger beer, juicy IPA, the best pilsner, and some surprising drinks from the brewmaster’s selection. The infamous Saaremaa homebrew will definitely not be missing from the tasting.

Brewmaster Alo

Alo is a second generation brewmaster. His uncle Arvet was the founder of Estonia’s oldest microbrewery, right there in Pihtla village. The legendary Saaremaa homebrew has been produced there since 1990.

As a brewmaster of a younger generation, Alo was curious to try out tasty craft brews. The legendary homebrew is now accompanied by a wide selection of ale and lager craft beers.
